7 – Purebred PIGEON Bernburg Trumpeter, red, hv 96 points, Uwe Langhammer (Bronze Ring) Bernburg Trumpeter, black, v 97 points, Andreas Albrecht (Silver Ring). Two pigeon breeds are scheduled every year to hold their Siegerring competitions at the VDT’s (Verband Deutscher Rassetaubenzüchter e.V. – As- sociation of German Pigeon Breeders) pigeon show, which in recent years has been held in Leipzig on the first weekend of December. Because of earlier show cancellations from bird flu and Covid-19, four breeds were featured in the Siegerring shows the last couple of years. I photographed the top-rated Bernburg trumpet- ers (2019), English Modenas (2022 and published in the July/August 2024 issue of Purebred Pigeon ), and Arabian trumpeters (2023).
