46 – Purebred PIGEON Kevin Lee Stalder Ellsworth, Iowa June 9, 1968 - October 27, 2025 Kevin enjoyed world traveling and visited all sev- en continents, with many stories concerning his adven- tures. His farm was populated by many rare species of critters in addition to his pigeons. Kevin and I shared an interesting and absorbing appreciation of the genetic oddities of the pigeon world. He was one of the few of us pigeon breeders that cherish the weird mutations that Mother Nature occasionally provides, even when they are not “mar- ketable.” I met him decades ago as he chauffeured the late Doctor Willard F. Hollander around to pigeon shows and gatherings. He is survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Submitted by Tim Kvidera
