Breed of the Issue - CHINESE OWLS CHINESE OWLS – Page 37 – Purebred PIGEON My Restart Continued By Mike Lopez C ontinuing on from my Reccessive Red article: I received lots of pigeon from the NCOC members here on the West Coast, also from Jim Cooper and Drew Lobenstein. The reveal – the Tumbler cross was one of Drew’s creations via Jim Coo- per. Not one but two lemon hens put the brilliance in Recessive Red. “Lem- on,” the extreme dilute has been in this country over ten years. Lemon first adds brillanice to the host color plus this color produces lots of hens! Yaaay! There are at least six Chinese Owl breeders to help continue with reces- sive reds. I’ve managed to raise two small studs of twelve and over twenty recessive reds and three recessive yellows. Several geno- and pheno- questons come about. oh! Gq helps everything. I’ve several AOC (any other color) breeder project pairs. Thanks to the NCOC for all these years - sincerely Mike Lopez.• Lemon Tumbler old hen with daughters More hens - September 2021 2021 baby Ash red/lemon March 2024 Ash yellow/lemon Qualmond F1 OH 2021 Lemon with lemon April 2024
