13 – Purebred PIGEON On visiting Bander at his beautiful loft, I have never seen so many Tumblers in one place! Outstanding quality in most colours and the following day when I saw his other loft and all the young birds in it, I just could not believe what I was seeing! A truly great breeder of Tumblers and I enjoyed every minute of my visit. On my last day before flying home, Bander and Khalid took me to the old center of Jeddah to do a bit of shopping. In the afternoon, Khalid’s brother has a friend who has a boat and he took us out for a trip lasting nearly 2 hours. In the gorgeous 33C weather it was most enjoyable. In the evening we went back to see Saeed Al Mohamadi. Just before leaving, another lovely surprise awaited me. They brought in this huge cake with my picture and name on along with their Tumbler club logo. After taking some pics, I then had the honour of slicing up the cake and everyone present enjoyed eating it! Khalid then drove me back to my hotel and then came back for me at 1 am when he then drove me to the airport. I cannot thank Khalid and Bander enough for the way they looked after me while in Jeddah. It was an amazing ex- perience and one that I will remember for the rest of my life.
