Creating Ads for Purebred Pigeon

Full page ads must be created at 300 dpi in the CMYK color space.

They should be saved as .TIF or Press Quality .PDF files

8.5 by 11.25 inches (non-bleeds)

Bleeds (color or image goes to edge of page) must be 8.75 x 11.25
("Bleeds" is a printing terms that means color or image goes to and beyond the edge of the page -- it bleeds off the edge. The printer requires this color or image to go beyond the edge so that they have a margin of error when they trim the pages.)

Below is a full page ad I created for use in the magazine with the trim, page and bleed marks over it.

The outer red line is the bleed-- size 8.75 by 11.25
(because I wanted the color to go to the edge of the page).

The black line is the actual page size - 8.5 by 11 inches.

The gold line is the trim area. As you can see I went slightly into the trim area as this ad had so much info to squeeze in.

At the bottom I went too far into the trim area - when this was printed it barely
made it on the page. (Try to avoid this!)
